Whether you want to pursue the arts after high school or are looking for a creative outlet, eAchieve’s online art courses provide something for every students’ interest. Students will learn and apply knowledge of the elements and principles of design through our Digital Drawing and Painting course. Or get behind the lens and learn photographic techniques and editing through our Fine Art Photography I course.
Business Education Courses
Students can start their high school education off with learning business basics through our Keyboarding, Computer Application and Digital Technologies courses. For those focused on a career in accounting eAchieve’s Accounting 1 and 2 classes provide a comprehensive foundation for future courses and higher education.
An Entrepreneurship or Sports and Event Marketing course is a great option for students interested in these fields. They’ll will learn strategies and the tools necessary to succeed in these career paths.

English Courses

Family & Consumer Science Courses
The goal of our Career Planning and Life Skills courses is to help students learn the skills to find and maintain employment in a career that fits their interests and sills. Students will gain teamwork skills and develop and understanding of verbal and nonverbal communication that are necessary in the workplace.
Our Worldwide Cuisine class lets students discover cultures through food preparation techniques and local histories of food. The Fashion and Interior Design course covers the elements and principles of design. A Child Development course is a great starting point for students with goals of becoming a pediatrician, teacher or social worker.
Health & Physical Education (PE) Courses
eAchieve Academy provides access to a range of health and physical activity courses to help students lay the foundation for a healthy lifestyle now and into adulthood. The Intro to Fitness course is designed to get students moving to improve their physical health and knowledge.
Our Nutrition and Wellness class offers a comprehensive study of nutritional principles and guidelines. They’ll learn the importance of understanding food labels-knowledge that will help them make healthy food choices.
The Fitness Fundamentals 1 and 2 courses offer in-depth coverage of the 5 Fitness Components and how to achieve and maintain a health enhancing level of fitness. Information Technology (IT) Courses
eAchieve Academy offers a wide range of IT courses for freshmen. For students interested in pursuing a career in programming our Programming JAVA 1 and 2 courses provide a great starting point to learn the basics and how to use a Graphical User Interface to design their own programs.
Interested in photography? Our Digital Imaging 1 and 2 courses give an overview of digital camera techniques and concepts and students will complete the class with a portfolio demonstrating the skills they’ve learned.
Web Development A and B classes are great when paired with our Web Design Editors course, students will learn HTML and CSS in order to create well-formed, functioning websites.

Freshmen can prepare for high school level math courses with our Pre-Algebra class. This course will reinforce math skills and introduce algebraic concepts they’ll encounter in our high school level Algebra 1 course. After algebra courses students are encouraged to take a Geometry class, eAchieve’s course focuses on applying geometric concepts to the real world.
Music Courses
Involvement in school music programs improves student success in academic areas. Freshmen can take our Music Appreciation course to discover a variety of genres in the world of music through exploration and listening.
Our Beginning Guitar class will set you up with the basics of acoustic guitar, students will finish the class being able to play simple melodies. A Music Technology course provides the foundation for creating computer based music using a variety of software and technologies.
For students with plans to pursue music after high school can take our AP Music Theory course for college credit. This rigorous class expands upon the rudiments of music, harmony, phrase structure and form.
Science Courses
eAchieve Academy offers a range of science courses for freshmen to help them discover the world around them through observations, experiments and analysis. Our Physical Science, Chemistry and Physics courses provide an introduction to Chemistry, Physics and their AP versions students will encounter in the following years.
A Biology course also sets a great foundation to the processes of scientific inquiry and thinking. Our Earth Science class provide knowledge about our planet and how humans have and continue to impact it. eAchieve’s Astronomy and the Atmosphere course goes beyond the local weather and climate aspects to explore the factors that affect their existence.

A World History class allows students to discover the past through studying wars, societies and revolutions. eAchieve’s Human Geography Course encourages students to draw conclusions on how geographical circumstances impact all aspects of life.

We offer AP Music Theory and AP Computer Science Principles to all high school students, including 9th graders. Frequently Asked Questions About 9th Grade
How to get into AP classes in 9th grade?
Different high schools have different requirements for freshmen who want to take AP classes. Sometimes it’s as easy as signing up for the AP class you want. Other schools require a teacher’s recommendation. In some cases a student must complete a prerequisite course and earn at least a B before they can take the AP course.
All full-time high school students at eAchieve have an academic advisor who works one-on-one with them. Talking to an AP Coordinator or AP teacher can also help you determine whether taking an AP class freshman year is the right move.
You can also enroll part-time with us, keep attending your current school and take one or two online classes.

Can you transfer high schools in 9th grade?
Yes – You can apply to transfer to another school before or during your freshman year. You can transfer high schools in 9th grade, either before the start of your freshman year or during the school year. You can transfer within the school district you live in, to a different district, or to an online high school.
What are the best classes to take in 9th grade?
All 9th grade students should take a combination of required core courses and electives. The best classes to take varies from student to student, based on your general and academic interests. A motivated freshman who wants to graduate early will have their own priorities, as will a 9th grader with a specific college or career in mind already.

The 9th grade curriculum at eAchieve Academy mirrors the core curriculum offered at traditional high schools, but supplements it with electives and courses that prepare online learners for everyday life—like our Career Planning and Life Skills classes, for instance. Additionally, academically gifted students can take more challenging, upper level courses including AP classes if the 9th grade coursework is too easy for them. From choosing when you want to study to what you study, online learning at eAchieve Academy offers students much greater flexibility than conventional high schools.
How many credits should a 9th grader have?
Wisconsin doesn’t specify how many credits a 9th grader should have completed by the end of the school year, but a minimum of 22 credits and a passing grade on the district civics test is required to graduate from eAchieve Academy. All eAchieve students have an academic advisor to help them plan a course load that will put them on the path to graduation within 4 years, but students also have the option of taking extra classes.
What are the requirements to pass 9th grade?
Same requirements as at any accredited public or private school. You need to take a minimum number of classes and receive a passing grade (generally, a “D” or better is considered a passing grade). Do colleges look at freshman grades?
Yes, colleges look at freshman grades, and 9th grade classes will impact your overall high school GPA. However, don’t fret if you weren’t exactly a standout scholar in your freshman year. The first year of high school is a big change from middle school, and it may take a little time to adjust. Colleges are more interested in seeing a pattern of improvement as you progress through your high school years.
