This course explores the roles and relationship of the individual with family, community and work environment. Through an in-depth understanding of human development, students will be better equipped to solve the challenges individuals and families face in today’s society. Students will learn about career pathways associated with the changing needs of the individual and family in the 21st century.

  1. T1: I can determine effective communication skills necessary for individual, family and work relationships.
  2. T2: I can apply decision making and management practices to family, community and work settings.
  3. T3: I can analyze the elements of the family environment necessary to meet the developmental needs of the family members.
  4. T4: I can research a career in the Health Science career cluster and analyze its impact on family and community wellness.
