This is an advanced level course for the student who has already mastered the basic knowledge and skills offered in Fine Art Photography I. The student will further develop their camera knowledge and skills. We will explore creative processes and concepts in contemporary photography. There is a focus on quality of ideas, composition, and lighting in order to produce fine art quality images.

Students will further develop the skills necessary for critical analysis of their work as well as their peers. Individual and group critique will be used to analyze and assess student work in order to explore individual intent, personal progress and overall success.

Students will be exposed to a variety of photographs in order to appreciate some of the rich history of the photographic image. There is study of master photographers.

Creativity, craftsmanship, choice and voice are emphasized in the development of a mature body of work that exhibits personal growth as well as professionalism. Students will need to provide their own digital camera. A DSLR camera, smartphone, or point & shoot camera are all acceptable options.
