As in the first year course, students apply the elements and principles of design as they work towards powerfully conceived and rendered work. Emphasis is placed on digital art media exploration. Students reinforce their structural drawing skills as they work from photo images and direct observation, as well as their imagination. Advanced techniques are added to the students’ repertoire. Students become familiar with master artists and art movements as they start to adapt “source artists” as mentors. Critiques play a key role in helping students develop a critical eye while enhancing their communication skills
