The benefits of enrolling in an online 4th grade program will surprise you!
Although located in Waukesha, eAchieve Academy serves a number of students from every corner of Wisconsin! Our 4th grade student body is comprised of a variety of students from different backgrounds. Often times, students who enroll in our online 4th grade program are looking for an effective and legitimate homeschool alternative. Parents who want to stay involved with their child’s education can easily keep track of their child’s work thanks to our parent monitoring. Our classes push 4th grade students to be successful in virtual and home environments. This ensures they aren’t stapled to the screen of their computers and still get the experience they need reading actual books. This integration of online and real world work allows our 4th grade students to continue encourage the understanding of different subjects and building skills for success, such as:
- Creative Skills
- Environmental Science
- Social Skills
What students learn at the 4th grade levelView Full Course List
English Language Arts
In both the reading and writing sectors of language arts we want for students to move away from “standardized” formats. For example instead of using pre supplied transition words (first, second, last, also) children at this level should be encouraged to use their own specific language to write for two reasons.
One completely new concept the students are expected to learn by the completion of this level is they should be able to identify and draw the three basic types of angles.
Health & Physical Education
During this year, students will begin to learn how to explain the importance of warming up to prepare the body for any type of physical activity.
Technology, Business, and Information Literacy
Building on these critical thinking skills, students will learn how to determine if information is relevant to the question being asked. Knowing how to select the right information and applying the information gathered in an effective way will be learned by the end of a student’s time spent in our program.
Art and Design
Beginning to understand the role of art criticism and knowledge is one of the most important lessons our students learn during this year of study. Our students will be taught about the different concepts of beauty existing in different cultures around the world.
eAchieve will teach our students to identify solutions to an environmental issue and take time to discuss arguments for and against the issue, both independently and in groups.
In fourth grade, students will learn how to identify ways in which other school subjects are incorporated through music. With this added knowledge, our students will be taught how to behave appropriately for different performances based on their context and style.
