Course Description
By third grade, children begin working with larger whole numbers in mathematics and begin discussing reading materials in literature. It is no surprise, with eAchieve Academy’s Wisconsin state standards based learning targets, our students’ environmental education increases in complexity as well.
Learning Targets
With three years of basic environmental education behind them, our third grade students will begin to learn about their roles as citizens in their community, including the power, authority, governance, and responsibility they have with the environment. Students will be able to apply ideas of the past, present, and future to specific environmental issues previously identified in past years. People and groups of people involved in environmental issues will be identified along with the decisions and actions related to the problems. Students will work on their communication skills by discussing these issues and attempting to create their own solutions they can do at home.
