Program Admissions Process

The first step of a health and wellness careers is getting into a good college. You can go to a four-year university and receive a bachelor’s degree in Arts or Sciences. Intro to Fitness and Fitness Fundamentals are recommended for students who want to teach sports or become physical trainers. Through these classes you’ll learn the 5 Fitness Components, FITT principles, and the benefits of proper exercise technique.

Those hoping to use their skills in medical professions will benefit from Health and Nutrition & Wellness. These classes are each one semester and available to high school students at any grade level.

You need 1 credit of Health and PE to graduate from eAchieve.

Science Courses

nyone working around patients must understand the relationship between anatomy, physiology, biology and chemistry. eAchieve has introductory and advanced high school science classes ideal for Health & Wellness.

Anatomy and Physiology class goes over all the basics of the human body. There are two prerequisites: Biology and Chemistry. Introductory Biology is available for 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade while Chemistry classes are limited to grades 10-12. Chemistry has one prerequisite, Algebra 1. With all these prerequisites, it’s important to start planning to take Anatomy and Physiology as early as possible.
