Founded in 1859, “Valpo” is a private Lutheran institution with just over 3,000 undergraduate students. Located in northwest Indiana, about an hour east of Chicago, the school was ranked 5th in the “Regional Universities Midwest” category of U.S. News and World Reports’ 2019 edition of “Best Colleges.”

The school integrates the tenets of a liberal arts education and professional studies with majors in more than 70 fields of study across five colleges-- Arts and Sciences, Business, Engineering, Nursing and Health Professions, and Christ College. Valpariso University has an acceptance rate of 84%, but you’ll need a solid B+ average to even be considered for admission.
