From students who like to structure their own study hours to those who work full time and need a flexible high school schedule, our classes fit every schedule. AP courses, unlike the standard and honors courses we offer, allow students to get college credit while they work towards their diploma.
Are AP Chemistry classes hard?
AP students are expected to understand complex chemical equations and concepts at a freshman college level. Although AP coursework may be difficult, many of our students found the material to be a fun challenge, and beneficial towards their college careers.
Are AP Chemistry classes worth it?
The rigorous work involved in an AP course can be intimidating, but the benefits of taking an online AP course are worth it! In addition to gaining incredible knowledge, students will get college credit and college course experience to prepare them for future higher education courses.
How does AP Chemistry work?
The course takes one semester to complete, and works much like a regular class except more in-depth. AP Chemistry involves thorough analyses of chemical experimentation, with the written and communicative abilities to further engage in that material. Students will take an AP Exam at the end of the semester to determine how much college credit they’ve earned.
Is AP Chemistry necessary?
AP class are not necessary to graduate, but they are helpful in applying for college and staying debt-free. AP Micro Economics, along with other AP course, prepares students for a future of further education in chemistry, nursing, or engineering, which standard courses just can’t match.
Can I take online AP Chemistry online?
Absolutely! eAchieve offers an extensive collection of online AP classes for high school students to enroll in. Start your path today to further your knowledge, advance your credits, and prepare for college with courses offered at eAchieve.
How many AP classes should I take?
Research often helps students figure out how many AP classes they should take in a year, but someone’s ability to handle coursework changes year to year as that individual grows. Challenge yourself at first, but try not to overwhelm yourself with work, and go from there.
How does the weighted AP GPA work?
One of the many benefits of taking AP classes is that they count more towards your GPA than standard courses: which means that it is possible for students to achieve a GPA greater than 4.0! Many of our AP students see this as a safety net and a challenge to graduate with a 4.0+ (very impressive to colleges).

Can homeschool students take AP Chemistry online?
Homeschooled students are welcome to apply for enrollment in up to two online classes per semester. You can earn AP credits online as a homeschooled student in Wisconsin.
How do I know if I should try AP classes?
Depending on your academic strengths and plans for higher education after high school, AP classes can have pros and cons.
Is AP Chemistry the same as taking chemistry in college?
AP classes and introductory level college classes have about the same level of difficulty, by design.
Does AP Chemistry look good on a college application?
Strong grades and exam scores from AP classes will help a college application stand out. Simply enrolling in AP classes without successful results won’t be enough.
What’s the secret to managing multiple AP courses at once?
Taking more than one AP course in the same semester requires strong time-management skills, due to the more challenging subject matter and coursework.
Should I take AP Chemistry or a dual enrollment chemistry class?
AP classes can’t easily be compared to dual enrollment classes. AP classes are standardized in each state, whereas dual enrollment classes can vary a lot depending on where you take them.
